What mechanical advice can you recommend?

I have a 2002 Ford Ranger Automatic my transmission is shifting gears extremely slow and when it does shift, it shifts hard what do I do any recomendations? I am in the Woodlands, Tx any local mechanics in the area have an answer and you will have a client.What mechanical advice can you recommend?

Pull all bolts off trans, all fluid will spill out so get a pan





3-7 bolts hold the filter on to the 'brain' Take it off and replace








invest in a chiltons book for details, its really not that tough
