I'm thinking about leaving my office job and becoming a business consultant. I already have some potential clients. Where can I get more information about tax and legal considerations, as well as find out how much to charge my clients?Looking for advice on becoming a business consultant?
I've always found the ';For Dummies'; series helpful, and they have one for independent consultants. I put it in the ';sources'; section.Looking for advice on becoming a business consultant?
First of all get your business going before you quit your job. You NEVER go into a business with both feet without a back up. If you wanna learn more about taxes, google taxe tutorial or maybe join a tax class for tax time and get some reference for a resume' to show your clients. Some people say I need to be a cnsultant because I answer al kinds of these questions. Good luck! You may have another client if things go well.
I am not really sure but I can make a great valid suggestion to you thats worth while. This is a great online resource for people looking to start their own business. And they have a tax and legal section. You may find it very helpful.
