What type of advice can a lawyer give during a custody suit?

What is advice and what is coaching? and is coaching legal?


The term(coaching) is being thrown around by counselors ,etc and I don't know what it isWhat type of advice can a lawyer give during a custody suit?
If by coaching, you mean helping a child prepare for what the custody process will be like, and how to phrase things, no that's not illegal.





If by coaching, you mean telling the child to say things that aren't true, that's illegal.





Lawyers coach witnesses all the time; it's good legal strategy. Suborning perjury is unethical and illegal.What type of advice can a lawyer give during a custody suit?
I think what they probably are referring to is ';coaching'; the child about what to say about whom they want to live with. For example, coaching a child to say daddy is mean or mommy drinks every night.





It's not proper to coach a child that way, and if the court believes the child has been coached, it is going to be considered against the parent who did the coaching.
