Can anyone with experience, preferably still serving, give me any advice about being a light gunner?

Im looking at transferring to artillery from the engineers and wanting to go to 7 para RHA as 105 gunner. Been trying to read up on 7 para but not really getting much joy. Any advice would be much appreciated, cheers. Can anyone with experience, preferably still serving, give me any advice about being a light gunner?

I use the RAF version and if its anywhere near as good there will be trade specific sections and you can get the advice from 45,000+ current and ex-serving members. Can anyone with experience, preferably still serving, give me any advice about being a light gunner?
P coy m8, you will have to be fit as f*ck, stick where you are least when you get out u got some kind of trade, i left years ago and could literally do nothing but fire a rifle or machine gun, not much call for it out here, and you will have to leave some day.
British army Vet is 100% right but go for it if u want u will see more action
