What's your advice for preparing for medical school when starting at a community college?

In the fall I'm going to major in psychology. This major doesn't really need the rigorous requirements that medical schools have like a year of Calculus, Bio, or Chemistry. But I NEED TO TAKE THEM FOR MED SCHOOL. How should I go about completing the med school requirements with my other psych classes? Should I take them at 4 year schools in the summer? ADVICE PLEASE!!What's your advice for preparing for medical school when starting at a community college?
A typical pre med schedule of classes looks like this:

A major requires a minimum of 40 credits including Botany, Zoology, Biological Foundations, Genetics, and at least one course from each of the following core areas:

1. Growth and development: Comparative Anatomy or Human Anatomy

2. Cellular and molecular biology: Microbiology and/or Cell Biology

3. Physiological and biochemical principles: Human Physiology or Comparative Physiology

4. Environmental biology: Marine Biology or Ecology

5. Biological theory: Evolution or Seminar

Students must also fulfill the following biology, chemistry, and physics requirements:

* BIO 300 - Special Topics as specified in the Undergraduate Catalog (Biology 300 courses do not count toward the major)

* General Chemistry %26amp; Qualitative Analysis and Organic Chemistry

* Calculus I

* 8 semester hours of physics

There are specific English, History, Humanities, Science and so on requirements that I like to refer to as the general Ed requirements that you can take along with your psychology classes that can help fulfill your general ed requirements. My suggestion is to go to the counseling center at your JC and map out your courses so you can transfer to a 4 year universtiy in two years and finish your BA so you can go on to med school. What's your advice for preparing for medical school when starting at a community college?
There are two issues you need to verify (and do this at the university you intend to transfer to and not at the community college):

1: Verify that the science courses you take at the community college satisfy the requirements of a Majors level course at the university.

2. Ensure that any course you take at the community college will transfer to the university.

Contrary to a lot of posters opinions on Yahoo! answers, where you do your med school prereqs does not matter. But you really need to be sure that the courses you take at the community college level are acceptable to the university--or else you are wasting time and money.

Most universities require that you transfer a minimum of 30 credits. If you want a psych major, I suggest you review the university's curriculum and take those pesky ';filler'; courses, like English, foreign language--or whatever--at the community college level (assuming they'll transfer) so you can focus on what interests you at the university.
