i am studying bio. how do we know that all these facts that are ';discovered'; by scientists are actually true? what about if they are not seeing something clear? and sometimes i feel brain-washed just reading their ideas? It is getting to my head and hurting my motivation studying.AdVice!!!!!!?
We know these things are true because of the massive amounts of evidence that they (scientists) supply. If you're skeptical about something, do some research and decide for yourself. I don't take anything at face value...and science still can't explain everything. Sometimes you need to just settle for the best guess at the time.AdVice!!!!!!?
well,
scientific fact
by definition cannot exist.
we know there are cells.
we can describe them.
but we can only try to figure out through trial an error the rest.
much of it we know from experience
your job as a biologist is to refine those theories to better match reality.
we know that all the facts are true because of their experiments
and even if they mess up (not see something clear) you have to realize they they do 100's of experiments new or repeated because they know its not a conclusion if they cant duplicate the results /and/ more than 1 person was working on the experiment at one time leaving very little room for error /and/ the major discoveries are usually made by some one credible
