I'm an amateur photographer and i've only had my camera for a few months so I have not had very much time to practice with it, especially taking pictures of people. Can anyone give me some advice on taking candid shots in a party environment (anniversary party)? Like, when should i use flash? What are good angles? Just things like that, and any advice at all is welcome and greatly appreciated!Can anyone give me advice on taking pictures at a party?
Candid and posed photography are in some ways opposite.
This comes down to a personality issue.
Some people ';tense up'; and look awkward when their photo is taken. Others pose beautifully, but falsely.
Attitude is key. We now live in a casual era. Being the ';Photographer'; no longer offers either cachet or safety....
Candid shots are good, as is the person professional enough to ';delete'' photos that are unflattering or embarrassing to the ';subject.';
digital cameras have made the mechanics of photography accessible to ';everyone'; But they have not made ';sensitivity'; or ';class'; universal.
Good luck
