I would like some advice as to the best way to go about marrying and making my boyfriend a legal immigrant?

I am a born american and my boyfriend is a born mexican. He illegally came to america and we would like to know the fastest and the best way to get him legalized and for us to get married we don not know which one is the best to do first. This is a very serious matter and would like to know soon.I would like some advice as to the best way to go about marrying and making my boyfriend a legal immigrant?
You are in the right category it is after all immigration, unfortunately some people use it for insulting and bashing on people they feel superior to. That being said there is no way to legalize him now, marrying him will not fix it, you can spend the money for an attorney to file the proper paper work and he will return to Mexico for his ';interview'; at which time he will get a 10 year ban for being here illegally.

You could try having him return and apply for a fiancee Visa but if they find out he was here without papers that also will be denied. I have a co-worker married to a Mexican national, they live near the border, she works on the US side and goes to their home in Mexico on weekends while they wait for his application to be approved.I would like some advice as to the best way to go about marrying and making my boyfriend a legal immigrant?
First of all, ignore the ignorant people who have commented to your question. I have a very close friend who is in the process of doing what you wish to do. I will tell you that you will be unable to ';legalize'; him if he is here in the US illegally. The hard truth is, he will need to go back to Mexico and start from there. Once he is in Mexico, you file what is called a K-1 Visa form (it's a fiancee visa that allows any US citizen to bring a non-US citizen to the US to marry) It does take awhile. They require some paperwork and then you wait about 6 months if not a little longer for an interview process that will be done to you (here in US) and to him (in Mexico). This interview is to prove that you are truly a couple. They will need evidence such as pics, letters, that you have dated for at least 2 yrs. If the interview goes well, he will then be granted a visa to come legally to the US for 90 days. Within those 90 days you two must marry or he is sent back. Once married he can stay and then you move forward with making him a citizen. Hope this helps. I advise you to google K-1 Visa and get more accurate info. Good luck to the two of you.

It provides you with ';how-to'; guides for establishing residency for a foreign spouse or fiancee. Likely, the best best is to file for a K-1 visa, and once it gets approved, get married in the U.S. and then immediately file for transfer of status. It takes a while, however, for the K-1 visa to be processed.
i don't know why some people are so racist. it doesnt matter if he mexican or not, i think we can all choose who we WANT to be with even if they were not born here. but i think you can get married with him and than help him out try to find out with an immigration lawyer. good luck to both. SI SE PUEDE!!!
The myth is many think once they are married you get instant citizenship without any of the hassles everybody else must endure and it don't work like that.Without knowing his criminal history I cannot say, but he must return to Mexico, again he must return to Mexico while you go through the entire immigration process
Save your self problems . You and him move to Mexico and get married and live their . God bless you life there .
there is NO FAST WAY

the ONLY LEGAL way is for him to go home amd apply legally from mexico
I promise you I'm not being racist and hating on you, but think really hard about marrying an illegal. It can be really hard to know if they are marrying you for the card or true love. I always wondered if my wife was with me or for the green card. When she got her green card she cut all ties with me. I found out the hard way.

-Don't get married! (If you must at least do this)

-Never co-sign anything with your spouse if you do decide to get married.

-Get a prenup if you do get married.

-Date at least 2 years before getting married.

-Run a credit check on them before getting married.

-Run a criminal check on them before getting married

-Get to know their exes and friends before you get married.

-Know their family before getting married.

-Don't marry someone that is illegal. Even if you think its real you will never really know.
